Why do I believe what I believe?

Is it more due to what I’ve been taught or what I’ve learned in my life?  This is a must know for anyone who really wants to define their own life…but how?

TheThinkMovement.com by j. sakiya sandifer

THIS IS MY LAST DAY IN PARIS AND IT’S BEEN CRAZY. I’VE MET SO MANY DOPE PEOPLE. I FEEL SO INSPIRED BY THE TRIP…I’VE BEEN THINKING OF RAPS, BEATS, CLOTHES, VIDEOS , STAGE DESIGNS AND PHILOSOPHIES… I ALWAYS FEEL MY BEST WORK IS MY NEXT WORK. I’VE MADE SOME GOOD CHOICES AND SOME MISTAKES… I’VE BEEN LOVED AND HATED…I’VE BEEN HAILED AND RIDICULED…I’VE BEEN INVITED TO SHOWS AND AS USUAL ASKED NOT TO COME. (more…)

guess who said this…

Tuesday, January 27th, 2009

TheThinkMovement.com by j. sakiya sandifer

I just can’t believe all the things people say
Am I black or white? Am I straight or gay?
Do I believe in God? Do I believe in me?

I can’t understand human curiosity
Was it good for you? Was I what you wanted me to be?
Do you get high? Does your daddy cry?

Do I believe in God? Do I believe in me?
Some people wanna die so they can be free
(I said) Life is just a game, we’re all just the same…do you wanna play?

the thinker @ 98.7 KISS FM/NYC pt.3

Tuesday, January 27th, 2009

This is the last one…it was such a good conversation, that I had to post. It’s very rare for me to capture someone having a paradigm shift in real time due to my philosophies of life…and believe me when I tell you…they were ready to shut me down!!!

For all those who have read our books, this is a good example of how I apply them in life. Moments like this really get me amped to speak in front of people!!!

$170 million dollar inauguration…uhmm, and how does this make sense?

Tuesday, January 20th, 2009

TheThinkMovement.com by j. sakiya sandifer

First let me say that I’m in no way condemning the Inauguration of Obama, but I do believe in the concept of overkill.  When I read the article by Scott Mayerowitz of the ABC News Business Unit about how much money was spent, my mind initially went into entrepreneur mode and was like YES,  this is why I love this country, it will capitalize on any and everything!

But further into my thought process, (more…)

Lateral thinking is a term coined by Edward de Bono.  He defines lateral thinking as a method of thinking focused on changing concepts and perception.  Its about reasoning that is not immediately obvious and about ideas that may not be obtainable by using only traditional step-by-step logic.

Test your lateral thinking capabilities by answering the following questions.  (more…)

a plus side of failure

Wednesday, January 14th, 2009

TheThinkMovement.com

In these times of great uncertainties of what’s to come next, I’m unfortunately seeing a lot of people who are running for the hills out of a pure fear of failure.  Of course I think everything is defined by perspective…and with that being so, the current times are nothing to fear but more something to be exploited.   I remember this line from the book “Rich Dad Poor Dad’ by Robert Kiyosaki that pretty much sums it up…”Failure defeats losers, failure inspires winners”.

the importance of preventive measures!!!

Tuesday, January 6th, 2009

TheThinkMovement.com by j. sakya sandifer

Huang Chuncai is a 32 year old native from a remote village in China whose facial tumours initially weighed at 23kg.  Huang suffers from a genetic disorder called Neurofibromatosis that effects the development and growth of nerve tissues.  Huang Chuncai recently underwent his second operation to remove the 10kg tumours hidden inside his face at a hospital in Guangzhou China.

I’m not claiming to be a medical expert, but I’m quite confident that his tumor didn’t get to be this size overnight.  Uhmm…moving forward I’ll be making doctor’s appointments for anything that’s bigger than a mosquito bite!
