a thank you and you’re welcome moment #5

It seems like it was just yesterday when I sent Kanye that quote.  It’s quite ironic how that beautiful question came to me in a  down period of my life.

I was  in the midst of a really tough decision…to end my life as I knew it  for the last 17 years.  I could no longer ignore the signs that I wouldn’t be spending the rest of my life with the person who I’d chose.  She was my nucleus.  She was the reason for me being.  I mainly set out to do big things just to prove to her that it can be done.

There was one conversation  about my commitment  to my beliefs.  I remember asking if a Born Again Christian would be scrutinized to such a degree since that’s the same level  that I believe in myself.   For the life of me, I still don’t quite understand why so much opposing energy was produced…but never the less, a decision had to be made.

Believe you me, I totally understand how these types of life situations can make you feel alone.  I remember feeling as if I was suddenly dropped in a world where nobody spoke the same language as me.  And that’s when it hit me…enough with the fucking  talking!!!  If I wanted to be understood from this point on, my words would be best translated by my actions!!  Yes, others believing in me would be nice, but it’s no longer needed!!!

I had to come to grips quickly that I would be considered crazy in the beginning and that’s when the question came to me.  Actually the original quote is “Would or could you believe in, what you believe in, if you were the only one who believed in it?’  My answer was an equivocal YES…and that’s when I decided that nothing would ever stop me from at least attempting to go after my dreams!!!

Looking back on it, I can clearly see  how the belief that others have in me now wouldn’t exist without the acute belief that I had in myself.

Matt, from the bottom of my heart, I wish you all best in your journey and sincerely say Thank You And You’re Welcome!!!
