What I really enjoy about this game is how it’s extremely simple yet very complicated at the same time…much like life!  Allow me to explain…
Success in both is based on your ability of putting random pieces together in order to get to the next level. In the beginning, the slow moving pieces allow time for a complete thought process. As you advance, the same random pieces are being thrown at you, but only now at a faster pace. As the pace increases at each level, success becomes more dependant on one’s reaction to the same randomness.
Like I said earlier…extremely simple yet very complicated at the same time!!!
Enjoy playing the game…of life that is!!! LOL

I started playing before reading your “explanation”. While playing I tried to draw parallels between tetris and life… one thing that struck me was that it begins going slow in the begining – as is life in the early years.. you want things to go faster, things to happen… only, when you get older it feels like life goes too fast and you have to make important decissions even faster – just like in the game.

i also began playing before reading the explanation (i have a secret tetris fetish myself LOL). as i began to think about the correlation between the game and life, to me it seemed that as you go along, yes it starts slow, but for those prepared for what life throws at them, the faster it gets, the more one can rely on previous lessons learned to assist them in placing the pieces in the right spots. even when the pieces seem like they’re about to hit the ceiling, patience causes you to wait for that long 4 block piece to bring the walls down. so to me, with age and experience comes the ease of playing the game.
