The photographer who took this picture of a bicyclist being upended after hitting a pothole submerged in rainwater in Xiamen, China, came under fire. Critics say he was lying in wait to capture an unfortunate incident instead of warning people about the impending danger. The photographer defends himself by arguing that without his pictures, the government would have never noticed the pothole.

    The government is at fault…

    Govt is a “Show-me” type of people. I can go down to the local museum and say “I just saw bigfoot” and people are like, realy thats cool. I bet I would get a better reaction and people will feel my statement is more plausible if I had pictures or more importantly proof or evidence, that’s…ummm…UNDENIABLE!!

    This may be a long comment on a simple topic but thats how I look at every situation. A picture is worth a thousand words and my mind consists of thousands of thoughts…
