Ehh… not really thought provoking at all.

Firearms are inherently safe and being afraid of them is completely unnecessary and immature.

People should want to educate themselves about firearms and take safety courses to get a better understanding of the responsibilities that revolve around guns.

Automatically thinking that they are “bad” or that they are only used to murder people and spreading that message is just as bad as telling people that they should never talk about sex and abstinence is the only answer.
    - or that rap music makes you a bad person so don’t listen to it.
    - or that video games turn kids violent so don’t ever play them.
    - or that tv gives a false view of reality so don’t watch it.

Instead of dismissing things, we should be trying to educate people so that they don’t make the wrong decisions when they inevitably come into contact with an unknown that they were told nothing about so that they can have a better understanding and make the right choices.

The average person growing up is going to be exposed to many different things no matter how much the parents try to put them in a “bubble” so instead of letting our youth learn about things from television or other kids at school, we should be teaching them how to be safe, how to be responsible, and how to react in certain situations.

A firearm is only as dangerous as the person who is handling it just as a motor vehicle is extremely dangerous to someone who doesn’t know how to operate one properly or had insufficient training/knowledge.

This video does not want you to think or learn about anything, it wants you to embrace the fear of an unknown which is a terrible life lesson. Being scared and running away from things you may know little about won’t get anyone anywhere.
