His words inspire all of us to be thinkers, dreamers, leaders, activists, opportunists, and most importantly, individuals. I was blessed with a family who taught me to see colorblind. I believe we can never deny or forget history, but we can decide that as a generation, it is time to start making our own history. I am so very proud to be an American today. Yes we can, yes we can.

I shared with my family and friends the following: “It’s interesting how I’ve always imagined Obama as our next President. When he was officially elected last night, it felt completely natural, as if it were always going to be so.” Moreover, the media consistently communicates messages of apprehension with respect to Obama’s ability to deliver. I like to remain unbiased and believe in what my eyes and heart tell me. What the media and critics forget is that his “Newly acquired” responsibility has always been a responsibility to him. Think about that. What we care about so much as a people has always been engraved in the foundation of Obama’s every intent. The only difference now is that he has a higher, more visible, and a World embraced platform to follow through. Despite the media’s comments, it is very hard to look in his eyes and not see someone who is genuine and so serious about delivering. Like many of us, I believe Obama is poised and is “Prepared” to follow through with expectations of only success. Time will reveal the power of his true passion and dedication as a contributor in this lifetime and more importantly as our new President. They are all in for a warm surprise.

Also, please let me add that as a developing project manager (any success requires sound project management), I find it overwhelmingly rewarding that a power like the U.S. government who is normally so rigid in their efforts to advertise and portray themselves to the public, can innovate the way they conduct a campaign. Obama’s campaign was so well managed and marketed that it will be used in higher education and Corporate America as a benchmark for successful project management. The reason this means so much to me is because my innovative approaches have frequently been met with resistance to maintain the brand of the organization or party. I’ve always understood what they meant, however I also realized how much they were missing out by being so rigid and unwilling to embrace forward thinking approaches.

My name is Euro and I’m proud to have shared my views and say that this is the first blog I have ever communicated on. In closing, I’d like to share my passion and summarize it in one sentence: “I have always been and always will be passionate about the way consumers experience media via emerging technology.”

No more excuses. The effects of this are waaaayyyyy past the next 4 years, I just keep thinking about the kids that will grow up not knowing anything BUT a black man can be president. The door’s blown off the hinges now, and whether or not people want to walk through, there is no longer a sign above it reading “For Whites Only.” No more excuses.
