We aren't "saving the Earth". This planet will and does take care of itself. All that we consider to be "problems" are inconveniences to <i>our</i> livelihood on this planet. Ninety-nine percent of all the species that ever inhabited Earth are extinct. The green movement is our chance to not join that number...for now at least. Any attempts made to live within the natural balance of this particular planet are truly to save US, not it. Our lives are patterned on a system of sheer parasitism, exploiting the host for all it has to offer with no forethought: if the host dies, what happens to us? The green movement is a capitalist attempt to correct some things, but it's still mostly half-assed as truly living in sync with the Earth would require a lot more than metal water bottles, canvas shopping bags, organic food, and electric cars. Think bigger. Than yourselves. Than your money. The planet is in disarray because <b>we</b> are in disarray. <b>We</b> are disconnected from nature and what's natural, and, subsequently, from ourselves. Having more money is always great.
